A reputable company based in Cape Town is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Key Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying
- Registered as a Professional with the SACQSP
- Must be a South African citizen
- 4 years post-Pr QS registration experience
- Analytical thinker with proven problem solving
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in mathematical and accounting principles
- Reports, feasibility studies and cost analyses of processes
- Be able and willing to mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors
- Sound knowledge of the JBCC and other relevant building contracts
- Sound knowledge of CIDB standards
Responsibilities:
- Doing estimates
- Measuring Quantities from plans to compile BOQs
- Preparing tender documentation
- Preparing valuations
- Preparing variation orders
- Attending site meetings
- Contract Administration
- Preparing Cost Reports
- Measuring and agreeing on final accounts
- Project Management
- Quality Assurance
- Multi-disciplinary services co-ordination
- Team co-ordination
- Oversee projects as needed
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
