Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dartford, Surrey
Salary: £50,000 to £68,000 + car & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major highways project in the South East. Working closely with the joint venture partners, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be entrusted with ensuring one of the busiest roads in Europe remains operational regardless of the challenges it's facing. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor can expect a position that includes great career prospects, job security and a competitive starting salary and package.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing measurements, valuations and cost reconciliation for all works
Review the contracts programme and ensure a robust procurement strategy is in place
Provide the project leadership team with a detailed analyses of commercial progress, CVR's and forecasts
Work closely with stakeholders to address any commercial matters that arise
Prepare, submit and negotiate claims in line with the contracts clauses
Provide support to the junior members of the team
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working in highways maintenance, utilities or similar fields
Experience using the NEC contract
Excellent communication skills
In return, the Senior Quantity Surveyor can expect a generous salary & package that includes:
Starting salary of £50,000 to £68,000
