Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where you can help support the Facilities Management Team as a Fabric Engineer.

Position

Joining a friendly and hard-working projects team, the successful applicant will work as part of the Southwest Fabric project team to deliver project works on a day-to-day basis for minor refurbishments to clients’ properties upon the MOD Estates within the Wiltshire area.

Responsibilities of the role:

To ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to give specification and ensure timely completion of project works.

Working within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.

Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.

Maintain high standards of customer care in a client-facing role

Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements

Requirements

What you'll bring

To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:

Multitask fabrication technician experience - general building fabric repair, painting & decorating, bricklaying, slabbing, fencing, concreting, tiling and plastering, kitchen installations

Timber and UVPC door and window Installations and general carpentry repairs

Basic plumbing skills

MEWP and PASMA qualified preferable

City and Guilds qualification in a relevant field

Competent to assess repairs required with ability to complete works with minimal guidance
