Job Description

• Demonstrate full understanding of lighting design techniques and lighting market to base or influence design decisions
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the lighting design aligns with the overall project vision
• Lead the lighting design process for major projects, from concept development to final installation
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the lighting design aligns with the overall project vision
• Develop comprehensive lighting plans, specifications, and design documentation
• Oversee the work of lighting designers and assistants
• Provide mentorship to other team members
• Ensure projects meet all relevant building codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability requirements
• Demonstrate full understanding of lighting design techniques and lighting market to base or influence design decisions
• Manage the lighting design budget and timeline for assigned projects
• Provide expert lighting design advice and make recommendations to clients
• Assist the Lighting Design Manager for marketing presentations to create, build and maintain business opportunities

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma holder or above in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or Related field
• 5+ years of experience as a professional lighting designer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Able to complete all stages of the project independently.
• Ability to communicate design concepts effectively, responsibly in an highly organized manor
• A supportive team player.
• Competent in AutoCAD and PhotoShop
• Expert knowledge of lighting principles, technologies, and industry best practices
• Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g. DIALux, Lighting Reality, AGi32)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Understanding of electrical systems, lighting controls, and energy efficiency measures
• Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulations
• Excellent collaboration and client management abilities
• Ambitious and self-motivated with a desire for personal and professional growth.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English.
