Construction manager - 3146537

General Description: The Construction Manager is responsible for scheduling, purchasing materials, managing construction crews, managing subcontractors and working with homeowners to repair homes that have experienced an insurance loss.

Essential Job Duties

• Manage job scheduling and job progress from start to finish in an efficient and cost effective manner with a strong focus on quality
• Communicates with homeowners, claims personnel, other internal support staff and management in an efficient and customer focused manner.
• Hires, trains, motivates and leads a team of Project Managers.
• Ensures employees are trained and comply with all safety measures and standards, company policies and procedures
• Monitor staff performance and address issues according to company policy
• Maintain adequate staffing levels
• Establish and monitor internal inventory controls
• Ensure all employees understand and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Responsible for all aspects of P&L/Financial management, including development of budgets, revenue goals, gross profit metrics, expenditures, and financial planning for the construction department.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years minimum experience in the home repair or restoration industry
• A contractor license is preferred but not required.
• A thorough knowledge of the insurance restoration process is preferred but will consider a combination of single family home construction experience or home repair background.
• Has a thorough knowledge of safety standards
• Some experience with water mitigation helpful, IIRC certification is a plus
• Strong computer skills required: Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of Xactimate 27.3 is a plus.
• Will need to travel at times to jobsites
