Overview:
A prestigious multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm is seeking a creative and collaborative Landscape Architectural Team Lead for their team based in Raleigh, NC.
This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in landscape architecture, who is passionate about leading a team and making significant impacts in both local and regional communities
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a talented design team in the production of high-quality conceptual design plans, rezoning plans, site and planting plans, construction documents, and related technical drawings.
- Supervise the team’s work in creating illustrative materials and rendered graphics using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design platforms.
- Directly interact with clients and in-house staff to advance master plans, develop site plans, manage entitlement processes, and implement improvements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, enhancing professional development and team performance.
- Ensure quality control and assurance of the department's output, maintaining high standards in all project deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with Planning and Engineering Practice Leaders to define and achieve the vision for growth within the landscape architecture discipline.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architectural program preferred.
- Professional registration as a Landscape Architect or Certified Planner.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Landscape Architect/Designer in a land development setting.
- Proven track record managing a diverse and dynamic portfolio of projects.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, governmental officials, and approval authorities.
- Exceptional design and rendering skills, with proficiency in both hand-drawn and digital formats.
- Deep understanding of local codes, ordinances, and public agency standards relevant to land development and design.
